Homeopathy Remedies |
As noted before remedies can be made from a number of different basic substances. Some resources are metals, minerals, poisons, trees, roots, plant leaves, and flowers. Sometimes insects are also used.
Hahnemann typically used the smallest amount of the substance possible that would still trigger a healing effect. He did this to minimize the side effects. His observations were that the more dilute a substance the better the results. He also got the impression that vigorous shaking at each step help to increase the effectiveness. Although this is not intuitive, his investigations suggested that the less of the original substance remaining, the greater its potency and effectiveness.

This process of diluting a substance causing it to become more potent is called potentisation. The first step is an alcohol water extract made from the substance. This is referred to as the “mother tincture”. This mother tincture is then diluted down to the required potency for the individual person.
The main potencies are categorized by the letters x,c and m. In x dilutions one part of mother tincture is added to nine drops of water. In c dilutions one part of tincture is added to 99 drops of water. In m dilutions one part of tincture is added to 999 drops of water. Some might refer to these doses as one in 10 one in 100, and one in 1000. Most used potencies are 6c, 12c and 30c.
After the required potency is been reached. a few drops the mixture are then the added to sugar tablets. When doing self treatment is recommended that the 30 c Potencies are used, and these dilutions are regularly available.even though these treatments can be done at home you also have the option of consulting with a professional homeopathic practitioner. This is even more important if there's a strong emotional component to the ailment. |
